GRANITE HILLS 11, RIM OF THE WORLD 7: At Lake Arrowhead, the Cougars beat the Scots (3-2) in a nonleague matchup. Tom Trudeau and Neil Bhutwala swept at No. 3 doubles in their first match together. No. 1 singles player Patrick Mc-Cray also cruised through three sets. The Cougars (5-2) will host Quartz Hill today.

SERRANO 10, SILVERADO 8: At Victorville, the Diamondbacks edged the Hawks (3-2) for the second time this season. Sophomore Sam Sussman swept three sets at No. 1 singles. Peter Turrill took two of three sets. The Serrano doubles teams of Brad Orescanin-Evan Nelson and Seth Tate-Aaron Long each won two of three sets. Serrano (6-0) will play at the First Serve Tournament at Orange Coast College this weekend before facing Victor Valley on Tuesday.

JC Women’s Tennis

VICTOR VALLEY COLLEGE 8, COLLEGE OF THE DESERT 1: At Palm Desert, the Rams dominated the Foothill Conference matchup. VVC won 13 of 15 sets and breezed to the victory in two-and-a-half hours. Tricia Lockwood only dropped one game in her win at No. 3 singles; Amy Scott and Charisse Brown also cruised in doubles despite nursing injuries. The Rams (6-3, 3-2 FC) will host Antelope Valley College on Tuesday.
