The wide-ranging number of apparent crimes that the judge who destroyed The Spotlight — S. Martin Teel — helped cover for during his defense of the Justice Department in the INSLAW affair boggles the mind.
On Sept. 10, 1992, the House Judiciary Committee issued a formal investigative report, The INSLAW Affair, charging that “the following criminal statutes may have been violated by certain high level Justice officials and private individuals” during the course of the INSLAW affair:
